When the pandemic hit, the need to inform people about the new health and safety guidelines was a paramount priority. Our brief was clear. University leadership wanted a campaign that reflected the distinctive nature of the University of Chicago. A place of rigorous inquiry—where data and hard evidence are sacrosanct. This key brand insight was our inspiration for the Because Science campaign. It was distinctively UChicago and spoke to our audiences in an authentic manner.
The campaign was met with enthusiasm and adopted across the institution which helped to ensure compliance and slow the spread.
